• Modesty Panel: Desk to include fully covered modesty panel on three sides of desk  (front and sides), in the same material, and same colour, as table top, 

• Minimum thickness of fully covered modesty panel on three sides of desk (front and sides) :  Installation and Assembly: The awarded bidder (Supplier) will be responsible for delivering  fully assembled (or complete final assembly at delivery site with  minimal disruption to office activities, and clean up of worksite), ready to use furniture, installed in each of the identified locations within the Office (the site/delivery location).

• Please note that the FAO Offices in Harare are located in a three story building with stairs and no elevators/lifts/escalators/ramps etc.  and therefore the labour provided to deliver and install the furniture must be suitably provided with this information in consideration.

• Cable Management: Desk to include atleast one (maximum 2) functional cable management/cable management inlay

• Warranty: a minimum 12 month Warranty is expected on the supplied furniture. Please state the full details of your warranty offered

• Draws: Desk to include three draws in the same/matching colour of the top, base and sides, that fits under the desk (inside of the one side  modesty panel and beneat the table top).  The draws may be attached, or a movable pedestal with wheels. with atleast 1 lockable draw with keys provided. Large side credenzas will not be acceptable. 

• Desk must not have built in cupboard, or built in draws on more than one side of the desk, or any  other item that may be deemed to restrict comfortable, seating, use and movement of the user.

• It is preferred that the desk be supplied with a movable set of drawers. However, built in draws  will be acceptable, only if they are on one side of the desk only, and if they are not deemed to restrict comfortable use and movement of the user.

• Desk may have desk pad center Acceptable alternatives are as follows:

• Acceptable Size Range:

  • 1500mm to 1600mm Length 

  • 700mm to 900mm Width and 

  • 730mm to 800mm Height from ground to bottom of tabletop, suitable proportional and comfortable/ergonomic for the average  user

• Acceptable Material/Colour: Teak, Walnut, Dark Oak, Cherry, Mahogany real wood veneer  and/or colour if deemed suitable for the aesthetics of the office in line with existing furniture.
